September 17, 2011 Angel in the Autumn – Saturday Centus
Angel, angel, love afar,
How I wonder that we are.
Here across the nation wide,
From Pompeii to coaster ride.
/
When the dreaming moon is bright,
When dancers weave in the night,
Then you show your Angel light,
In heart’s duet holding tight.
Angel, Angel, love afar,
How I wonder that we are.
/
Our Heart’s songs sing aloud inside,
Lips meet and our arms abide;
Day is night and our night is day,
Telescoping time and breath’s way.
Angel, Angel, love afar,
How I wonder that we are.
/
There you are in your dark keep,
I am here as you do sleep,
In the Autumn, my dear,
Joined as one without fear.
Angel, Angel, love afar,
How I wonder that we are.

You made a longer poem! Very clever. And you gave it some deeper more mature meaning too,
Not bad. And it is singable too.
Well done.
Best wishes,
Anna

Excellent ! I love the romantic take on the prompt and the visuals of a couple parted by death and then reunited as one, together again eternally !!! ( if I didn’t get the theme of it right don’t tell me )

Well, yours is certainly a lot more creative than mine! I should have known you would come up with something romantic and timeless. Bravo!!
