Lonely shells on burning sands
Empty homes echo past beauty
Silent shades of old Pompeii
Abandoned in fire and ash
Strong castles on the cold moors
Stirring of glories forgotten
Magnificent to behold
Nature’s and Man’s art lingers
What will be our legacies
Children, Art, or empty words.
