Knight of the Heart (knightsheart)

Poetry, Short stories, Blog, Titan

Wounded Warrior’s day, line the hall, with praising throngs,
Today they are heros that answered the patriot’s call,
When tomorrow comes will you see them in the mall?

Wounded warriors are not swords from hammer and tongs,
Not stars on walls, missing names called,
Men and women answered the call to right the wrongs.

Thanks for your Service for our nation seems too small.
Wounded Warrior’s day, line the hall, with praising throngs.

Wounded Warrior’s day, line the hall, with praising throngs,
Some have wounds that do not show that strike like windfall,
Do we hear with our hearts or say you damn screwball!

Some lost arms, legs, body ‘s command, and never sing songs,
Wars cost is high, don’t say goodbye,
Gather them in, they are ours, through the last furlongs.

Praise them, remember war is no game of football.
Wounded Warrior’s day, line the hall, with praising throngs.
